Summary of Hepatitis

Hepatitis is inflammation of the Liver. Hepatitis are caused by immune system, viral or bacterial or parasites infection, over consumption of alcohol, over dosage of certain medicine and fatty liver. There are 3 types of Hepatitis which include Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. Some of the symptoms of Hepatitis are abdominal pain, dark urine, pale stool, fatigue, loss of appetite, vomiting and unexplained weight reduction. It can be diagnosed by having physical exam, blood test, ultra sound and biopsy.  Doctors and some support groups can give information about treatments available. The treatment of hepatitis depends on the cause of liver disease. Some of the possible complications are permanent liver damage, liver failure or liver cancer. It is advisable to see doctor when one has any of the symptoms of hepatitis, blood vomit or bloody stools. Hepatitis can be prevented by having vaccination and by avoid sharing of personal items, drug needles, using uncleaned instrument and by following hygiene practices.
