Encarta:

- It was available on CD or DVD or internet through annual subscription

- Earlier it was a paid one later became a free one

- Music clips, videos, maps, atlas, dictionary and home work tools available

- Available in many languages

- Encarta was there for 1993 to 2009

Britannica:

- Founded in Scotland

- People can search by category

- Britannica has in-depth coverage of topics 

- This connects the students and experts

- It's available online

- It has dictionary , thesaurus, chart maker, searchable index of quotations, games and an Encarta kids interface

- Britannica digital learning designed for classroom too to help teachers to engage students

- It is there for 250 years

- Is written by experts
